රාම රාවණා ගැටුමේදී රාවණා රජුගේ මරණින් පසු රාමාට සහය දුන් සුමන නම් වූ අයෙකුට එකල පරිපාලන මධ්‍යස්ථානය වූ සමන්ත කූටය පැවරූ බවත් එදවස සිට සමනළ කදු වැටියට සම්බන්ධ වූ මම ජීවත් වන රත්නපුරය "සුමන සමන් අඩවිය" ලෙස හැදින් වූ බවත්¸ සුමන නම් වූ පාලකයා මියයෑමෙන් පසු දේවත්වයෙහිලා සලකනු වස් "සුමන සමන් දිව්‍යරාජෝත්තමයා", ලෙස හැදින් වූ බවත්, අලිඛිත ඉතිහාසය කියා පායි.
ලංකාව පැවතෙන්නේ ඉන්දියාවේ සිට පැමිණ තම්මැන්නාවට ගොඩබට විජය නැමති රජෙකුගෙනි යන මහාවංශ මතය බිද දමමින් ආචාර්ය දැරණියගලයන් බලංගොඩ කුරගල ලෙන ආශ්‍රිතව කල කැනීම් වලදී රත්නපුරයේ පමණක් නොව ලංකාවේම ඉතිහාසය උඩුයටිකුරැ කරමින් "බලංගොඩ මානවයාගේ" ශේෂ වු නෂ්ටාවශේෂ සොයා ගැනිමත් සමඟ රත්නපුරය අවුරැදු 20000 ක් තරම් අතීතයට දිවයන පාෂාණගත, මානව විද්‍යාත්මක ප්‍රොඩ ඉතිහාසයකට උරැමකම් කියන මිනිස් කොට්ඨාශයක් බව සොයා ගැනීම රත්නපුර දිස්ත්‍රිකයේ ජීවත් වන මට ආඩම්බරයකි.
"හොඳ සිහි කල්පනාවෙන් ඉදපල්ලා" යන අර්ථය දෙන වලිගය ඔසවා, කට විවර කර සිටින ලේනුන් අට දෙනෙකුගේ රූප කොටා ඇති ගල් කණු අටකින් මායිම් සනිටුහන් කරන අටකළන් කෝරළයේ, භාවනායෝගීව වැඩ විසු "පතිභක්ත ධර්මරාජ" නම් වු "කසාවතින්" සැරසුණු තාපසවරයෙකු සිටි නිසා "කසාවතුගම" ලෙසත් පසු කලෙක "කහවත්ත" ලෙසත් මැණික් වෙළදාම නිසා ප්‍රසිද්ධියට පත් කහවතතේ, ලොව වටිනාම රතු මැණික් හමුවන ප්‍රදේශය ලෙස නම් කර ඇති ඇන්දාන ප්‍රදේශයේ ඩබ්ලිව්. ඒ. දයාසිරි නම් වූ පියාණන්ගේත් ඊ. කේ. ජී. මැණිකේ නම් වූ මෑණියන්ගේත් පළමු දරැවා ලෙස 1992 වසරේ නොවැම්බර් මස 7 වන දින මා මෙලොව එළිය දකින ලදී.
විතාණ ආරච්චිගේ දේවින්ද ඉෂාර මධුෂංඛ දයාසිරි ලෙස නම් තබන මා සෙනෙහෙබර මවකගේ හා එඩිතර පියෙකුගේ සෙවනේ බහ තේරූ පසු හවුපේ නාවලකන්ද මහ විද්‍යාලයෙන් මුලික අධ්‍යාපනය ද, රත්නපුර ඇලෝසියස් විද්‍යාලයෙන් උසස් අධ්‍යාපනයද හදාරා පාසල් ජීවිතයට සමුදෙන විට රටේ අනාගතය බාර ගැනීමට සිටින තරුණයෙක් වීමට සියලු සුදුසුකම් සපුරා අවසන්ය.

In the conflict between Rama and Rawana, after the death of King Rawana, a person called Sumana who helped Rama was dedicated Samanthakuta. The administrative district which it belongs to is Rathnapura, where I live. It is called Sumana Saman Adawiya. After its ruler Sumana died he was treated as a god and named God Sumana Saman in unwritten history.
According to the Mahawansa it is believed that Sinhala people originated after Prince Vijaya arrived from India and landed in Sri Lanka. But Dr. Deraniyagala who broke this theory said some remains of Balangoda man have been found. With this history ruins back to about 20 000 years.
We the people of the Rathnapura District can especially be proud about our great heritage. There are eight stone pillars where squirrels have been carved and they demarcate the Atakalan Korale. There had been a hermit who had been meditating wearing a yellow robe and due to this, the place came to be known as Kasawathugama. Later it was called Kahawatta.
Endana is famous for Rubies. I was born at Endana in 1992, as the first child of Mr. W. A. Dayasiri and Mrs. E. K. G. Menike.
Named by my parents as Withana Arachchige Devinda Ishara Madhushankha Dayasiri. I am the son of an affectionate mother and a courageous father and learnt my first letters under them. Next I had my primarry education at Nawalakanda Maha Vidyalaya later I had my higher education at St. Aloysius College at Rathnapura and ended my education. Now I am ready to take over the future as a youth of this country.
